The CFL’s innovative and nationally recognized graduate-level training for K-12 educators is designed to confer the confidence, knowledge, and resources they need to teach personal finance.
From professional development programs tailored to your state’s needs, to our nationally recognized graduate course, our goal is to improve financial literacy education in communities across the nation.
As more states mandate financial literacy requirements for students, many school districts are unable to provide the resources or programs to make this specialized training available to their teachers.
The CFL’s programs offer needed teacher training—an online 3 credit graduate course and a professional development training—that upon completion meets the certification requirements for middle and high school teachers.

Our online graduate level course is tailored to educators providing school faculty the opportunity to gain the knowledge and resources needed to develop and confidently teach personal finance to their students.
The online course is offered through Champlain College Online (CCO), an innovative leader in online education for over 30 years. We integrate real-world experts into the curriculum, including content experts in taxes, insurance, investing, credit, student loans and banking products to help explain the benefits, features and risks.
Through the generosity of our financial partners, educators can receive scholarships to cover the cost of our online graduate level course. The application for the course will also be used to determine your eligibility for the scholarship; no further application is necessary.
